Rare Euphorbia graniticola – Healthy 5" Bare-Root Specimens - Caudiciform forming plants
Each specimen measures between 5-6 inches in length and all are branching profusely. These highly sought-after succulents are prized by collectors for their dramatic, deeply winged branches, sharp geometric angles, exclusivity, and their impressive caudex they eventually form.
Shipping: Sent bare-root to protect the roots and ensure safe transit.
Care: Requires intense direct sunlight and gritty, mineral-heavy, fast-draining soil. We use a ratio of 1 part decomposed granite to 2 parts pumice and 2 parts rich potting soil.
Watering: Extremely drought-tolerant; water only when the substrate is 100% dry.
Why It Is Rare & Highly Coveted
Micro-Endemic Habitat: In situ, this species grows exclusively on a few isolated granite inselbergs (rock outcroppings) in central Mozambique.
Extreme Adaptation: It survives in harsh, specialized rocky niches, wedged into narrow granite crevices with minimal organic matter.
Exclusivity: Because its natural geographic range is so restricted, seeds and locality-correct specimens are exceptionally difficult to acquire in the cultivation hobby.
Caution: Features a toxic milky sap. Handle with gloves and keep away from pets/children.
TERMS OF SALE:
• Plants need proper care and attention to stay alive. Care and/or rooting instructions are included with every order, but it’s critical that buyers do their own research of the unique needs of your chosen plant so that it will succeed in the buyer's specific growing conditions. You are responsible for your plant’s needs or issues as they arise. The overall health of your plant will be dependent on your environment and the care that you provide. We are always happy to help if you have questions or are unsure how to proceed.
It is the buyer's responsibility to inform us of any particular desired characteristics or traits they may have in mind before we have shipped your order. Aspects such as size, color, branching type etc, can be requested by buyers and we will fulfill those requests if possible. Please message us directly or include your request in the note to seller section of your order.
• Once a plant(s) leave our care and is with the shipping courier, the burden of liability is transferred to the buyer
• We are not responsible for plants arriving damaged due to delayed transit time or weather-related harm. If the low temperatures are dipping below 40F, it is imperative and your responsibility to purchase a heat pack (a separate listing in our shop) with your order to ensure your plant(s) survive the cold journey ahead. Of course, if we catch that a cactus is destined for a cold climate, ( i.e New York in January) and you didn’t purchase a heat pack, we will message you requesting you to do so. You may choose to opt out if your temperatures are mild enough that the plant(s) has a decent chance of survival. Otherwise we will not send your package until you do so. After three business days of no response or action taken after the initial request, the order will be cancelled.
• We are not responsible for any courier error or mishandling that could occur. Examples include a crushed package, a lost package, a delayed package, or any other relevant instance. We are able to help file a claim with USPS and get a replacement sent to you. This is only possible after both the buyer and seller have completed the necessary steps outlined by USPS and their claim system. In the event of damaged plants while in transit, you must keep the box and materials it arrived in. This is in part due to USPS’s requirement to present the damaged materials to them as evidence after a claim submission.
• Please take time to check your plant’s condition as soon as it arrives. Any issues with your plant need to be reported to us within 48 hours of the delivered time stamp from USPS with detailed photos.
• If an error was made on our behalf, we will gladly issue a refund or send a replacement.
• We do our best to detail the approximate size, shape and style of the plants available for purchase in the item description and in the drop down menu when making a selection. These detailings are rough estimates however and there may be slight deviations from your selected option to the plant you receive. We suggest reaching out to us privately requesting photos of potential options so you may pick those that resonate with you best.
• By purchasing from Cactology Cactus Co. you are agreeing to these Terms of Sale and you understand the inherent risk associated with shipping live plants. Leaves do get damaged, some roots may die back off, these are not unusual outcomes when receiving shipped plants. We are here 24/7 365 to answer any question/concern you may have and to provide assistance in the form of advice or instruction.
These TERMS OF SALE are final as soon as the package has been processed by our team and a shipping label has been created. You can request to cancel your order so long as it has not been processed. Our processing time typically takes 12-24 hours.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are always eager and happy to help and/or provide you answers.
